Program Overview

Want to forget about speed limits for a while? Then go take a big bite of road racing! In the Introduction to Racing, strap yourself into our race car and head out onto the track. Lap the race track close to ‘‘the limit’’ as you immerse yourself in the world of race car driving. Here’s what you get:

• 60 minutes of track time
• An understanding of vehicle dynamics
• Race-style downshifting
• "competition" braking & cornering techniques
• MX-5 Intro graduates are immediately eligible to enroll in the Advanced Car Control program, a Skip Barber Racing School advanced activity.

Total Program Time: 3 hours

Prerequisite: Ability to drive a manual transmission.

Sebring Modified [1.8-miles] and New Sebring [2.0-miles] round out the configurations. Sebring, in central Florida, is 90 miles from Orlando and 100 miles from Tampa.
