Curriculum And Requirements
Skip Barber High Performance Driving Schools provide a fun, fast-paced learning environment relevant to any driver, regardless of driving experience. A valid driver’s license is required and drivers must be proficient operating a manual transmission (drivers under 18 must have parental consent and adequate driving experience).
Upcoming High Performance Driving School Sessions
The time-proven Skip Barber Racing formula, experienced behind the wheel of a variety of high performance sports cars. You drive them hard in a multitude of settings: autocross, skid pad, threshold braking zones and of course, the race track.
You’ll practice and come to understand at-the-limit vehicle dynamics as you practice slides and recoveries, "lane tosses" and accident avoidance techniques. And all the while you can contrast and compare the handling, power and ergonomics of different high-end sports cars.
Upon Completion
Graduates of the ONE DAY HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING SCHOOL are immediately eligible to register for the ADVANCED CAR CONTROL program, a Skip Barber Racing School Advanced Activity.
Upcoming One Day High Performance Driving School Sessions
Picking up where the ONE DAY leaves off, the Two Day provides not only the benefit of "sleeping" on what you learned the day before but we also teach the proper "heel-and-toe" downshift technique. This is the ultimate driving experience!
Upon Completion
TWO DAY Grads are immediatedly eligible for the ADVANCED CAR CONTROL program.
Upcoming Two Day High Performance Driving School Sessions
This is where you safely learn how to "rotate" a car –critical to a fast lap, as you point to the apex and make mid-corner adjustments. Getting comfortable with balancing a vehicle in a "drift" is important. You drive a mix of Skip Barber Racing vehicles: Formula Skip Barber, Mazda RX-8 and MAZDA3. Unlock your potential in a safe, controlled environment with this driving experience.

There are few things in life as exhilarating as taking a variety of world class sports cars and sedans out on a track, exploring their limits – and yours. Experience the Lexus IS F, Lotus Exige and Porsche 911, Cayman and Boxster (not all cars are available at all locations) in their natural environment - the track and compare.
